Who we are

Ashman Automotive is an independent, buyer-funded vehicle sourcing and negotiation service operating in the United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Ashman Automotive is the data controller for the personal information you give us. You can contact us about anything in this policy at enquiries@ashmanautomotive.co.uk.

What we collect

When you submit an enquiry or a Deal Check brief we collect your name, email address, telephone number and the details you provide about the vehicle, your budget, part-exchange and timeframe. When you pay, your card details are processed by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, deliver the service you have paid for, contact you about your assessment or search, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. We do not sell your information and we do not share it with dealerships or sellers without your knowledge as part of the work you have engaged us to do.

Lawful basis

We process your information to perform our contract with you, to take steps at your request before entering a contract, and for our legitimate interests in running and improving the service.

How long we keep it

Enquiry and brief information is kept for as long as needed to deliver the service and for up to six years afterwards where required for accounting, tax or legal purposes.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your information, for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it. Email enquiries@ashmanautomotive.co.uk and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies and analytics

We record simple, anonymous usage events (for example, when a page is viewed or a checkout is started) to understand how the site is used. These events are not used to identify you and are not shared with advertisers.
